Individuals
San Diego Family Services offers individual therapy services for everyone:
women, men, children, and teens, and Deaf persons and their families.
Services for Women
As a female-owned and operated organization, San Diego Family Services
understands the needs of today’s women. That is why they have created
an entire arm of the organization devoted specifically to women and their
issues.
We address numerous women’s issues including Self-Esteem
and Body image, Weight Loss, Post-partum and Colic, Sexuality, Marriage
and Relationships, Parenting, Workplace and Success, Divorce and Separation,
Aging, Co-dependency, Single Women, Stress and Anxiety
These issues can be addressed with individual therapy, couples
therapy, family therapy, or in one of our many groups catering specifically
to women.
Services for Men
Men often have unique needs in therapy and the therapists at San Diego
Family Services are trained to address these needs in a supportive and effectual
manner.
We address numerous men’s issues including: anger and aggression,
independence, achievement, emotional restriction, intimacy and sexuality,
gender identity, hyperactivity, and stress & anxiety.
Services for Children & Teens
Individual therapy for children ad teens is often quite
different from that of adults as it often involves focusing on prevention
and early intervention. San Diego Family Services has tremendous expertise
in working with children as young as three years old, all the way through
adolescence.
We address numerous children’s and teen’s issues
including: separation anxiety, ADHD, school-related problems, fears and phobias,
sibling issues, bed-wetting, anger and aggression, discipline, behavioral
issues, depression, and anxiety.
Services for Deaf Persons and Their Families
San Diego Family Services is sensitive to the unique needs of not only Deaf persons but also their hearing family members (including CODA ‘Children of Deaf Adults’). We have staff with a wealth of knowledge regarding both Deaf and CODA cultures.
Therapy is available in American Sign Language. Issues or concerns can be addressed with individual therapy, couples therapy, or family therapy.
