John Rego, MFC
In-patient Therapist
John Rego has been a Marriage & Family Therapist since 2007: Lic #45003. John graduated from
San Diego State University. Thereafter, he earned his Masters degree at Fuller Seminary.
His therapy experience stems from working with diverse individuals, couples, and families
of all cultures and ages. As a therapist at the Community Relations Center, John has worked
with clients struggling with emotional issues, substance abuse, grief, anxiety, depression,
anger management, men's issues, life transitions, stress management, as well as faith based
counseling needs. As a School Behavioral Coordinator and Therapist, John refined his skill
set mentoring families and adolescents, negotiating chaotic family systems, leading group
therapy sessions, as well as developing a familiarity with the school IEP process.
Therapy, often for the first time visitor, can feel overwhelming, intimidating, and stressful.
John's priority is to create a safe, comfortable environment where you are able to grow and
heal past any emotional roadblocks. John will caringly work along side you and assist you in
overcoming these roadblocks that may be holding you back from being the person you were meant
to be.
Born and raised in sunny San Diego, John has enjoyed the coastal lifestyle of sand, sun, and
waves. His love for the outdoors has provided him with a greater passion to live life to the
fullest. John enjoys getting to know people from all backgrounds, as well as hearing about
their unique stories, challenges, and beliefs.
