Jenny Gemsio, MA, MFTi - Outpatient Supervisor
Jenny Gemsio Molstre is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. Jenny earned her Master's Degree
from the California School of Professional Psychology and is currently in the Clinical Psychology Doctorate Program
at San Diego University for Integrative Studies. She has been working as a therapist since 2004 with individuals,
families, couples, groups and children with various presenting problems and diagnosis. Originally from Sweden, she
is fluent in both Swedish and English. Her prior experience includes therapeutic services at the Family Stress
Counseling Services, as a Program Site Manager and as a Behavioral Specialist at the STAR Program for children
diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorders. In addition, she was a Mental Health Consultant for Head Start
and a therapist and group facilitator at the San Diego Psychology Center. She has worked with children diagnosed
with Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders for over 4 years and has extensive knowledge in social
reinforcement, social skills, behavioral training, child development and therapy groups for children. Her
specialization in treating children with Autism and other developmental disorders helps the parents and
families learn skills and techniques to cope, live, and grow within this environment. Other competencies include
chemical dependency, sexual abuse and trauma, depression and anxiety as well as couple's therapy.
As a MFT intern, Jenny practices under the therapeutic direction of Dr. Christy Wise. She is also responsible for the direction and
supervision of the outpatient office for San Diego Family Services.
